Car and Truck of the Year Finalists Named

Don Chaikin at the Popular Mechanics Automotive Blog has listed the finalists for the Car and Truck of the Year.

For cars the finalists are: Ford Fusion, Honda Civic and Pontiac Solstice

For trucks the finalists are Ford Explorer, Honda Ridgeline and Nissan Xterra

The awards will be announced on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, at the opening of the North American International Automobile Show in Detroit. The awards are voted on by a group of 49 respected automotive journalists that includes Don Chaikin from Popular Mechanics.
